Delete your account

You lose access immediately. Your data is erased permanently after 30 days.

In the app

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Read the warning and confirm.

By email

If you can no longer sign in, email support@civvie.app from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify it is you and delete the account within 30 days.

What happens, and when

You are signed out and lose access the moment you confirm. Your data is then held for 30 days and permanently erased after that. The delay is there so an accidental deletion — or one made by someone who got hold of your device — can be undone. We email you the moment deletion starts, with the exact erasure date and a single-use link to restore the account. That link works once and only inside the 30 days; you can also email us instead. After 30 days nothing can be recovered.

During those 30 days your email address stays reserved to the deleted account and cannot be used to register a new one, so nobody else can claim it and inherit your history. Email us if you want to rejoin sooner.

What is erased

What is kept

A minimal record of App Store or Google Play transactions (transaction identifiers, product, and dates, with no name or contact details), which we must retain for accounting, refund disputes, and fraud prevention.

Before you delete

Deleting your Civvie account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or you will keep being charged. Download any documents you want to keep; we cannot recover them afterwards.
